A sample lot. Sales count against the oldest released lot, so the forward trail shows where a lot most likely went.
Built inside a small-batch body care company in College Station, Texas.
We make tallow deodorant, soap and balms at Willow & Watch. When a supplier declined to sign our cruelty-free declaration, we needed to know which batches used their ingredients and where those batches went.
Answering that took an afternoon with invoices and notebooks. It should take ten seconds. So we built the tool we needed.

Each of these used to cost us an evening. Here's how Batchwell answers them now.
-
If an ingredient lot turns out bad, which batches used it?
Every ingredient you receive gets its own lot, and each batch records which lots it used. Trace the lot and you see every batch it went into, and the orders and markets those batches most likely went to. Quarantine the lot and it can't be weighed into a new batch.
-
A supplier won't sign our cruelty-free declaration. What's affected?
Set the rules once per brand: vegan only, or cruelty-free suppliers only. Batchwell keeps lots from a supplier who declined out of that brand's batches, and every batch keeps a record of which supplier lots went in.
-
Our tubes got cheaper and we render our own tallow now. What does a deodorant cost?
When a box arrives, enter the invoice and freight once. Batchwell splits the freight across the box to the cent and gives every lot its landed cost. Each batch then shows its cost per unit, with ingredients, packaging and labor, and your margin at online, market and wholesale prices.
-
Market on Saturday. What do we need to make, and is there enough arrowroot?
Tell Batchwell what you want to bring. It checks what's already on the shelf, works out what to make and what to pull, and warns you about any ingredient that will run short while there's still time to order.
-
Did this batch actually fill to the weight on the label?
Weigh a few finished units and Batchwell runs the fill check: the average has to meet the declared net weight, and no unit can fall below 97% of it. The result is saved with the batch.
